A high quality control and recording device (DVR) is an essential component of your CCTV system. This device is used to record the images received from your cameras. In addition, the devices we install can allow remote monitoring on a home computer network, on a mobile telephone or on a computer attached to the internet.
The DVR can hold many days of video footage on its recording disc avoiding the need to change and manage a stack of video tapes
There is a wide variety of cameras available suitable for internal and external use. When selecting domestic CCTV cameras we consider the need for it to be robust, tamper proof and able to deliver high quality images. It is also important to ensure it is capable of extended operation without the need for frequent maintenance.
Where required cameras can be concealed and arranged to blend into your decor. Cameras which can be seen can be a good deterrent. We can position such cameras in a way which maintains their deterrent effect but avoids destroying the appearance of your property.
There are a number of ways in which you may monitor the CCTV cameras positioned in and around your house.
Special dedicated monitors can be used; we recommend these for monitoring your doors. The monitors can be positioned exactly where they are needed and we are usually able to fit them in a manner which does not detract from the style and decor of your home.
You may also use one or more of your existing televisions to view the images or feed them to an Ethernet circuit allowing you to view the CCTV camera images on your desktop or laptop computers.
If additional monitors are required we recommend simple flat screen devices which, while giving excellent pictures, take up little space and can be positioned relatively inconspicuously.
